Breathtaking Animation: Vinamilk SuSu Guardians of the Universe TVC
What comes to mind when you think about the art style of an animated TV commercial? Is it 2D or 3D? Well, get ready to be blown away because the Vinamilk SuSu Guardians of the Universe TVC is both!
We received a unique brief from our client, Vinamilk, via TBWA agency, to create an animated TVC that breaks new ground. Our client wanted the TVC to be made in the style of "anime" (Japanese animated movies). So we decided to use the Cel-shading technique, which is widely used in the global animated movie and game industry. This technique delivers the ultimate visual experience for 2D animation lovers. Taking this risk was a big move for our client, and we at Colory were thrilled to take on this challenge.

SuSu Heroes: The Perfect Blend of 3D Cel-shading and Anime Style
We brought the SuSu heroes to life using the 3D Cel-shading technique, based on the agency's original design. The characters needed to embody the anime style while captivating the young audience.

Our skilled modeling artists meticulously shaded and drew "black lines" by hand to create the illusion that the characters were painted on paper.

We also employed the Non-Photorealistic Rendering (NPR) technique to give the characters a 2D look from any angle.
3D but brings the look and feel of a 2D character.
Building the SuSu Universe: Where Imagination Meets Reality
The SuSu universe was meticulously crafted with captivating elements such as a "milky way" that flows into the SuSu planet, resembling a milk flow. The surrounding planets represent vitamins. Our talented artists put in countless hours to simulate the milk flow, creating the most realistic feel.

To complete this project, we worked with speed, concentration, and utmost dedication. Colory wants to express our gratitude to all the artists who tirelessly worked on weekends and holidays. You fought just like the SuSu heroes!
